“Oh yeah, I’m vegan”
“WHAT?! YOU CRAZY!”
Anyone that has ever been vegan or vegetarian knows how non- vegan/vegetarian people respond to the idea of eating a lot of plants. They act like you’re crazy. Veganism is just another way to eat. It’s not the only healthy way, its just another way.
We have been seeing and hearing about the health craze since the 60’s (well I haven’t seen it for that long, but I’ve learned through researching it) through the awareness to diets and nutrition, organic versus not, evil GMO’s, health food stores, the yoga revolution, Crossfit cults, more people signing up for endurance athletic events than ever before, and amidst all of this evolution, we still manage to have unsustainable astronomical health care expenditures.
We definitely care and we obviously know that we need to eat right and workout. The reason we're still struggling as a nation with illnesses like Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, and Heart Disease is because a lot of us don’t know what that means, looks like, or feels like.
Well guess what? If you didn’t know about it then, it’s getting a lot easier to access what you need to know. We are still evolving and we’ve already entered a new health era. We’ve entered the consumer-driven health care revolution. For those of you who don’t have any idea of what I’m talking about, this means that we will soon have all health care services accessible directly via our smart phones.
Everyone will have a personal health coach (if you want to get yours now, just click here) and care team. Everyone will be able to see a physician on demand via FaceTime and we will know all costs up front. Everyone will have artificial intelligence playing a huge part in tracking behavior, diagnosing symptoms and illnesses, and delivering treatment.
This is our new reality. Get used to it. Embrace it.
Embrace you’re desire to be healthy. Get the help you need to achieve it.
Survival of the fittest, my friends.
Don’t be scared. Share this.
